The difference between the optical machine of a vertical machining center and the optical machine of a horizontal machining center
How much do you know about the difference between the optical machine of a vertical machining center and the optical machine of a horizontal machining center?
The worktables of the vertical and horizontal machining center optical machines are different. The vertical machining table is generally a T-slot worktable with a cross slide structure. There are two sets of motion mechanisms responsible for moving the worktable in mutually perpendicular directions. The X-direction feed table covers the guide rail responsible for Y-direction feed. The horizontal machining worktable only moves in the X or Y direction. The worktable is generally a rotary worktable with a lattice screw hole table. It is relatively easy to install an exchangeable double worktable.
The tool magazines used are different; Lijia commonly uses hat-type tool magazines and disc manipulator-type tool magazines. Chain type manipulator tool magazine is commonly used in horizontal machining.
The number of linkage axes is different; the conventional vertical machining center has three-axis linkage, which can be expanded to four or five axes, while the horizontal machining center comes standard with four-axis three-axis linkage, which can be expanded to five axes. Vertical and horizontal machining centers also differ in product positioning and processing applications.
The vertical and horizontal machining centers have different processing objects; the vertical machining center is limited by the height of the column and the tool changer, and cannot process parts that are too high. The volume of the workpiece processed is relatively small. If you want to realize the side profile of the workpiece An angle head or CNC turntable must be installed for processing. The horizontal machining machine can complete the processing of the other four surfaces except the mounting surface and top surface after one clamping. It is most suitable for processing box parts. After adding an angle head, it can realize pentahedron processing.
The chip evacuation conditions during machining are different between the two. When the vertical machine is processing a cavity or a concave surface, the chips are not easily discharged. In severe cases, it will damage the tool, destroy the machined surface, and affect the smooth progress of the machining. Chip removal is easy during horizontal machining, and the processing conditions are relatively ideal.
The control conditions of the vertical and horizontal optical machines of the machining center are different; the vertical type is convenient for clamping, easy to operate, easy to observe the processing situation, and easy to debug the program. The workpieces processed by horizontal machining are generally relatively large, difficult to clamp, difficult to monitor the processing process, and relatively difficult to operate and debug.
Horizontal machining structure is more complex than vertical machining. The number of factories capable of producing horizontal machining is much smaller than that of vertical machining plants. The price of horizontal machining for the same working range is higher than that of vertical machining.
